How are therapy sessions conducted?

Sessions are conducted online through a HIPAA-secure platform and in-person sessions are available in the Central Florida area.

Telehealth (virtual therapy) is currently offered to residents throughout the state of Florida. You must be physically located in the state at the time of service in order to engage in telehealth services.

What is the cost of therapy sessions?

Initial assessment sessions are and follow-up sessions are 50 minutes. Additional time may be allotted on a case-by-case basis and must be determined prior to the start of session. Sliding scale rates may be available upon request.

  • Intake Assessment Session: $150

  • Individual Session - 50 Minutes: $125

  • Reduced Fee Sessions (Intake $125, Follow-Up $100)

  • Limited Sliding Scale Fees Available

Do you take insurance for therapy services?

Insurance is not accepted at this time. If you who wish to seek reimbursement, check with your insurance company directly regarding coverage for routine outpatient psychotherapy for out-of-network providers. Questions you may want to ask include:

  • Do I have out of network coverage?

  • How much of the session fee is reimbursed?

  • Where do I submit receipts (superbills)?

  • Is authorization needed prior to?

What is your cancellation policy?

Please notify me within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment if you are unable to make the session. Appointments canceled less than 24 hours will be charged the standard session fee.

What is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern?

A Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) must have education at the master’s level, a active license to practice, and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who will provide Qualified Supervision while the RMHCI works towards full licensure.

As a RMHCI in Florida, I completed my Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling summa cum laude at Hodge’s University. The program is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) meets all Florida coursework requirements. I completed 60-credit hours over seven semesters of education and training, of which three semesters required 300 hours of practicum and internship experience.
