Brittany Days, MS

Brittany Days (she/her) is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Hodges University and a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Florida. She is a sun-loving, Florida-native who grew up in Miami and later moved to Gainesville where she resided for a few years prior to moving to the Central Florida area where she currently lives.

Brittany believes that all individuals should feel seen and heard so they don’t feel alone in life, after all, we’re meant to live in community, not solitude. She understands the importance of connection and having someone to talk to in a safe space where both positive change and growth can occur in your own time.

As your therapist, Brittany will support you through use of integrative, evidenced-based therapeutic techniques, psychoeducation, and skills training. Her integrative approach to treatment depends on the unique needs and goals of her patients, therefore, a blend of psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and humanistic therapies may be utilized during treatment. Brittany has experience working with teens, young adults, adults, and couples who are navigating a variety of presenting concerns such as: adverse childhood experiences, sexual trauma, anxiety disorders, identity concerns, relational issues, and personality disorders.

The de-stigmatization of mental health over the years has been a step in the right direction but there’s still room for improvement, especially as it relates to folks in marginalized communities. Brittany understands the importance of equity, inclusion and cultural competence for folks in, but not limited to, BIPOC and LGBT communities.

When Brittany is out of office, she’s most likely lounging around with a good book, scrolling on Instagram, doing something creative like Bullet Journaling, or spending quality time with her fur babies and loved ones.
